Awana Clubs are Back for the 2022-2023 School Year! 

We are so excited to be re-launching Awana Clubs at Abounding Grace Christian Church (AGCC)!  This season will begin on Friday, September 16, 2022 through Friday, June 16, 2023. 

Awana, which stands for Approved Workmen Are Not Ashamed (2 Timothy 2:15), is an international Bible-centered youth organization. At AGCC, our Awana Clubs Ministry is a program for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade.

What Can You Expect at Awana Clubs?

Awana Clubs meet every Friday from 6:30pm - 8:30pm (check-in starts at 6:15pm).

At each Awana Club meeting, we present the gospel in a way that each child can understand, no matter what age they are. We understand that salvation is a free gift, that we cannot earn it or buy it, and that Jesus has already paid the price for our sins on the cross (Romans 3:23).

The key to winning the battle against sin is to memorize scripture and hide it in our hearts. This is what the Awana program is all about. Awana strongly emphasizes memorizing the Bible to help us during the battles in life, so we can have a victorious life in Jesus.

What Awana Clubs Are Available?

We are offering two Clubs here at AGCC: Sparks® for Kindergarten–2nd grade, and T&T® for 3rd grade–6th grade.

Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.
For many kindergartners through second graders, Sparks® is the highlight of the week! They love their red vests, the exciting games, and spending time with leaders and friends. Each year, our Sparks® kids will:

• Explore the biographies of people of the Bible from a new portion of Scripture;
• Memorize Bible verses;
• Complete handbook activities.

Sparks® Club meetings combine learning with fun to encourage kids to learn scripture verses and complete assignments throughout three handbooks.

The T&T® (Truth & Training) curriculum teaches kids the truth of God's Word, training them to follow Him and practice His grace. 

In this 4 year curriculum series, kids will explore the fundamental doctrines of Christianity including:

• The character and nature of God;
• The structure and sequence of the Bible;
• The redemption narrative;
• Key practices for followers of Jesus.

By encouraging kids to engage in highly biblical and highly relational discipleship, T&T® helps students to grow and develop as lifelong followers of Jesus Christ.

Enrollment Information

In order to cover the cost of materials throughout the school year, there is a registration fee for attending the clubs. We try to keep the program affordable by decreasing the fee based on the number of children you enroll.  Registration begins at $22 per child, see the table below.

For each student, there is also the cost of a uniform vest ($15 for Sparks®, $20 for T&T®) and a handbook ($12 each).  Uniform top and handbook. are required.  If you'd like to pay by credit card, please register online by clicking below.

• Medical Release form (required for attendance)
• Photo Release form (required for attendance).

Printed copies of all the forms will also be available at AGCC on Fridays during Awana at 6:30pm and beginning Sundays on August 21, 2022, after 10am service.

NOTE: even if you register online, you will still need to return a printed and signed copy of the Medical Release and Photo Release forms.
