Pastor Jay Stillinger
Senior Pastor
Pastor Jay received Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was 12 years old and, later, at 17, he had a life-changing experience with the Lord resulting in a clear calling from God to be a minister of God’s Word.
Pastor Jay then went on to Bible College and graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center (now Rhema Bible Training College) in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and earned a B.A. in Religion/Ministry, and an M.A. in Apologetics from Luther Rice College and Seminary. In addition, he has an M.A. in Theological Studies from Southwestern Assemblies of God University.
Prior to pastoring Abounding Grace for more than 30 years, he worked as an Associate Pastor and was a missionary to the country of Portugal. He has also done missions work in Kenya, East Africa.
Due to the impact the Word of God has had in his life, Pastor Jay has a strong desire to help others know Jesus as their Lord and to help believers grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
Pam Stillinger
Executive Pastor
Pam was raised in a Christian environment, though she didn’t have a true understanding of God and His nature until March 1988. During a time in her life when events occurred that could not be resolved without God’s intervention, she acknowledged her need for His presence and guidance. She recommitted her life to Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, which profoundly changed her life.
Since Pam and Pastor Jay’s marriage in 1989, Pam has been in the ministry with her husband and is anointed greatly in various areas of ministry. She is ordained through Rhema Ministerial Association International (RMAI) and is also the Director of Children’s Ministries. She has a heart for children, teens, and young adults, that they might know the saving power of Jesus Christ at an early age to prepare them for the purpose to which God has called them.
Today, the Stillinger’s are District Directors for RMAI and reside in the Capital Region. They have two young adult children who are also involved in ministry.
