At AGCC, we believe the church is not a building, the church is us – the family of believers gathered to worship God, encourage one another, and be equipped with the Bible to impact our world for Christ. Learn more about how we gather to fulfill this purpose and what to expect when you come for a visit.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE

When to Arrive

Our Sunday service begins at 10 AM. We recommend arriving at least 15 minutes early. If you have children, we encourage you to register them in our Children’s Ministry classes, (see more below).  It will take approximately 10 minutes to register, though this only happens on the first visit.

What to Wear

While the Bible teaches us to dress modestly, it doesn’t specify exactly what to wear. Our congregation varies in styles from jeans to suits and everything in between. Wear what you feel is appropriate and modest for Church.

Praise and Worship

We believe that Praise and Worship is a vital part of our relationship with God. Biblically our worship can include the lifting and clapping of hands, the singing of songs that exalt the Lord Jesus, and the greatness of God through contemporary music. The lyrics are projected on the screens so you can enter into Worship with us.

Tithes and Offerings

As a guest, feel no obligation to give during this time. Giving is something we do every week as followers of Christ. Generous and cheerful giving is a tangible opportunity for us to place our financial trust in God as we honor Him with our weekly tithe.

Sermons and Teaching

Pastor Jay is an engaging and anointed teacher of God’s Word.  His teaching encourages, equips and strengthens the body of Christ.  He is easy to understand and has a true heart for people.  His greatest joy is seeing people accept Jesus as their Lord and Savior as they realize their need for Him.  Seeing lives change and watching Christians grow in the knowledge of God and His character is most rewarding.  Pastor Jay has the teaching responsibilities from week to week, but other staff and elders are given opportunities to teach on relevant topics from time to time. We always use Biblical references with practical applications that will benefit you in your everyday journey. Missionaries and an occasional guest speaker also spice up our menu.

Prayer

Prayer teams are available each Sunday after the morning service to pray with whoever desires it.  Prayer is offered in the front of the Sanctuary . There are also prayer cards you can fill out and drop in the locked box. We meet each week and pray for the requests.

Coffee

After our service, we encourage you to stop in the lobby and enjoy a cup of coffee.  Many people stay to meet new people, great each other, and encourage one another. A great opportunity to meet new people and find out more about us. Look at the materials displayed in the Information Center for additional information as you discover that you matter to God.
