Until Further Notice our Children’s Ministry is only meeting on the 1st, 2nd & 3rd Sunday’s of each month at 10:00am. Please arrive 15 minutes early to register your children.  We are hoping to add more weeks in the near future.

At this time, Kid’s Church will begin class at 10:00am instead of joining the adults for Worship. Once we add more weeks for this class, we will once again include them in the Worship Service.

Why We Care

At Abounding Grace we love and value children.  We use the stories in the Bible and the lives of those individuals to demonstrate character, concepts and Godly principles.  We recognize that children are an investment in the future.  We believe children need to know that God has a plan and a purpose for them, that He loves them, and they are part of His plan. It isn’t enough to be a good person, it is necessary to have a relationship with God through the saving grace of our Lord Jesus Christ.  No matter what is going on in their lives, Jesus will never leave them or turn His back on them.  Leading children to Christ is like no other experience.  We are privileged and grateful to also be part of His divine plan.

What We Teach

We at Abounding Grace believe in the Biblical principal of training up a child in the way they should go.  Although this charge is given to parents, we are here to assist with the training.  The purpose of our Children’s Ministry is to help the children understand who God is, why we need salvation, how Jesus is the answer, and the role of the Holy Spirit in our lives, and that God has a plan for them, all while having fun. We want them to know why we believe, not just what to believe. We use age appropriate curricula, methods, and tools such as games, crafts, music, skits, object lessons, multimedia presentations, etc., to reinforce Bible lessons.

Age Groups

– Nursery: 3 months to 35 months
We have a wonderful staff of people who are here to serve you. They provide loving care for your baby so you may enjoy the service without distraction or diversion. Your children are cared for by people who have a passion for babies and toddlers. Nursery and preschool-Kindergarten begin at 10:00am; please check-in prior to 10:20am

– Little Lights: 3 years through Kindergarten

– Kid’s Church: Grades 1 to 6

What We Do

Nursery  and ages 3 through Kindergarten begin at the start of service.   Grades 1-6 will be dismissed after the morning offering. Currently, we will not be doing this, but we hope to do this again in the near future.

Why We Do This

At this time, Kid’s Church will begin at 10:00 am in the classroom.  Currently, we are only able to provide Children’s Ministries on the first 3 weeks. Since there is less of an opportunity to minister your children,  we are having them attend their classes at 10:00 am, instead of joining the adults for Worship.  Once more people are available to help with the Children’s Ministries, we will add more weeks, and once again, include them in the Worship Service, dismissing them before the adult message.

One of the ways training takes place is by demonstration or practical experience. Keeping the elementary aged children in the service for Praise and Worship is an act of leading by example. As we express our love for the Lord and give Him the respect He deserves, the children are learning from watching and doing.  Simply put, we are practicing what we are preaching and teaching the children to love and respect God, our Father, through Praise and Worship.

If your child needs you during the service, your assigned number will be displayed in the Sanctuary.

Why We Check-In

We take your child’s experience just as seriously as we do our adult experiences. The other thing we take seriously is your children’s safety.  We believe in a check-in and a check-out system to verify who the children are leaving with.

Because of that, we have a detailed check-in process for our Children’s Ministry in order to maintain a safe environment for your children. The first time that you visit, you’ll want to leave yourself an extra ten minutes to get signed in for your child’s class. Don’t worry, after your first visit, checking in is a cinch and only takes a minute.
